it's that time of the year again -- and most of you are sick of it, but every year my wish list does get shorter so that's a good thing, right? anyway -- on with the show!

step one: make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. the post should contain your list of 10 5 holiday wishes.

the wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("i'd love a ______ icon that's just for me") to medium ("i wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("all i want for christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV."). the important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

if you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.

step two: surf around your friends list (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list.

here's the important part -- if you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use -- do it.

you need not spend money on these wishes unless you want to. the point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf -- to spread the joy. gifts can be made anonymously or not -- it's your call.

there are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. give, and you might receive. and you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

so i came home from an exhausting six-day working holiday to SINGAPORE and HONG KONG to find out that RAFA has pulled out of the PTT THAILAND OPEN (which we were supposed to fly to to see him play). the girls and i are fuckt; we already have airline tickets and hotel rooms and everything, but now with no RAFA i guess all we'll try to do now is drown our disappointment in PRATUNAM and SILOM. FML.

i finally took the stuff from PUMA/MTV out of the bags they came in, intending to wear them this weekend (i kinda stuck them in my closet after i came home from the airport). every time i see the FERRARI logos on some of the gear i get this big goofy grin on my face. now if only a certain german former world champion got around to making his comeback, then everything would be perfect.

i have a giant -- and i mean *huge*, stack of BL manga gathering dust on my bedside bookshelf. i honestly cannot be arsed to put them away as i am too busy reading tennis RPS　/ doing the laundry / catching up on blog posts. however, i cannot bear the thought of them yellowing from the exposure to the air and heat and dust and crawling insects, so i promise to put them away into proper storage bins this weekend. assuming that i don't end up spending the all of saturday crouched against the wall punching buttons on my PSP.

i am not a happy camper. in between worrying about RAFA's knees and the probability of him doing well at MONTREAL-CINCY-NY and calculating LIVERPOOL's chances for this season minus XABI, i have an added layer of stress that has nothing to do with balancing accounting books and maintaining my blog's readership/stats. clearly, someone up there hates me -- or at the very least, likes seeing me uncomfortable.

i am re-educating myself with KASABIAN's entire discography as i do not want to disappoint the new bosses; they are flying me in after all, just to cover the gig. i think the first and last track i heard from them was CLUB FOOT, and we all know that was ages ago :/

my laptop has a nice, deep scratch on the upper part of the lid :/ i have no idea how it got there, but i suspect the cat had something to do with it. i guess it's time to cover up with a nice custom skin *coughsRAFAcoughs* or maybe some LIVERPOOL stickers. lesson learned: never leave the laptop on before bed to run torrents, the cat will find it a nice warm place to sleep :P

unless your definition of drugs encompasses copious amounts of energy drinks, then so sorry HAPSC you are not a drug-free workplace. in the past month and a half i'd had more over-the-counter supplements, more pharmacist-sanctioned medication, and more traditional chinese medicine in pill form than i've had in all my years of overwork-and-underpaid. the entire concoction is usually washed down with one can of RED BULL ~~and two shots of vodka~~. good times.
